Community Garden Volunteering

March 24, 9 AM - 12 PM

Love getting outside, getting your hands dirty, and beautifying the world around you? Now you can do this for a great cause! The Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) partners with several community gardens in the Atlanta area, and they are hosting us to volunteer at one of the gardens on the morning of March 24.

Per the ACFB website: "Community gardening brings neighbors together and empowers people to supplement their food supply by growing it themselves. The Food Bank provides gardening expertise, volunteer help, tools, seeds and more to area community gardens.

No prior garden experience is needed – a Food Bank gardening professional will be there to direct the group. Projects may include gardening, clean-up, plant rescue, plant shows or produce collection."

We will NOT know the exact location until a few weeks before the event. We can arrange carpools -- and a plan for lunch after all our hard work -- at a later date. The ACFB will provide some snacks and water, but please bring your own water too and sun-protective gear. Wear comfy clothes and closed-toe shoes.
