A hardy group of Atlanta Area Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (AARPCV) hauled approximately 80 tires, and several garbage
bags of trash and recyclables out of The South River where it flows under Moreland Avenue in South Atlanta. The South River
is becoming a popular spot for urban canoers and kayakers and this haul away on September 22 will do much to improve the float.
Dewey Grantham of Liberty Tire Recycling accepted the tires free of charge for recycling.
