| Sommelier Ryan Mullins of Quality Wines |
For our first special event of 2012, AARPCV hosted
a very successful Wine Tasting on February 25, 2012. Approximately 45 members and guests attended to enjoy the wine, wine
hints, delicious appetizers, and to raise funds for our participation in sponsoring Peace Corps Partnership prgoram, which
supports Peace Corps volunteer currently in service.
Our devoted volunteer sommelier, Ryan Mullins of Quality Wines, working with Murphy’s Wine Shop in Atlanta,
presented 6 wonderful wines from unusual (sometimes unknown) wine regions of the world, in a showcase of “The Best Wines
You’ve Never Heard Of.” As always, Ryan’s insights, knowledge, humor, and excellent choices were most appreciated
and contributed to a very delightful evening. As in the past, Murphy’s offered the wine for sale
at case price and will generously donate a percentage of the sales to AARPCV. We extend many thanks to member Kristin Unzicker
for hosting, to our members who provided the abundant, tasty appetizers, and to members who attended and brought guests.
