In honor
of Peace Corps’ 50th Anniversary, AARPCV held a very special wine tasting on August 6, 2011 to raise funds for our sponsorship
of a Habitat for Humanity renovation
project here in Atlanta. During the tasting, we also held an internationally themed silent auction. Both were a
great success. 32 members and guests attended and we raised over $900 for our Habitat project!
Jake Slinker from Murphy’s
Wine Shop in Atlanta presented 6 delicious, cool and summery wines and everyone had the opportunity to purchase wines at case
price. As in the past, Murphy’s will generously donate a percentage of the sales to AARPCV.
