On May 19, 2011 as part of Peace Corps' 50th Anniversary
and as a fund raiser for Afghans4Tomorrow, the documentary, "Once in Afghanistan" was shown at the
Plaza Theater to the 80 individuals who attended.
Councilwoman Joyce Shepherd of District 12 in Atlanta
presented proclamations to the members of group XV/Afghanistan commemorating Peace Corps' 50th Anniversary and the group's
service. Almost $1000 was raised at the event. Future showings of the movie are expected in the future and AARPCV members who
missed the viewing will be notified when they occur.
