The Third Goal of the Peace Corps asks each of us to educate our fellow Americans about other
cultures, illustrate how important it is to serve those in need, and underscore how relevant the work of the Peace Corps continues
to be. As a Volunteer, you adopted to your host country by learning about its cultural practices, sharing stories about
America and your own culture from home, and working with neighbors on projects to improve the community. Share this
invaluable experience and help Americans increase their understanding of the world and its people during Peace Corps Week
and throughout the year.
Join AARPCV members at area coffee shops and bars during Peace Corps Week 2010 or visit other locations where
people are gathered throughout the week to share your experiences. In order to represent AARPCV and Peace Corps throughout the week,
sample badges have also been created to use throughout the week. The smaller tags can be printed out on standard label
paper (Avery 5160) and the larger tags can be printed on address label paper (Avery 5263). If you do not have label
paper, feel free to just print these tags on any paper to cut out and attach on your own. You are also welcome to create
your own badges or signs to let people know that you are an RPCV. The idea for the week is to
find a way to let people know that you are an RPCV and to share your experiences. Be as creative as you want to and
be sure let us know about it! Happy Peace Corps Week!
