AARPCV "Lend a Hand" Holiday Food Drive Supporting
the Latin American Association
Thank you to all who participated in the "Lend
a Hand" Holiday Food Drive supporting the Latin American Association.
The Latin American Association helps
Latino families achieve their aspirationsfor their academic, social and economic advancement through direct programs and community
partnerships focused on youth academic achievement, education and prevention, and services to families with urgent needs.
Our donations were gratefully
received at the Latin American Association Norcross Outreach Center where 300-400 Latino families are served every month. The
LAA Norcross Outreach Center provides both clothing and food assistance to all their families receiving rental assistance.
AARPCV's total food donation included: 211 cans of vegetables and
beans 22 bags (54 lbs) of rice 18 bag (32 lbs) of dried beans 10 bags (40 lbs)
of sugar 8 bags (40 lbs) of flour 8 bottles (6 liters) of cooking oil 9
canisters of salt 4 cans of coffee 4 bags of cereal 3 boxes of milk 4 boxes of spaghetti 4 boxes of corn muffin mix Peanut butter, tomato
sauce, juice, tea, and baby food
