The Volunteer Service Committee organizes regular volunteer events in the Atlanta
area.
If you would like to volunteer, plan a service event or join the
committee, please contact Jennifer or Wendy.
On Saturday, May
12, 2012 AARPCV participated in their second quarter community service activity in support of Trees Atlanta, a nationally recognized citizens group that protects and improves Atlanta's urban forest by planting, conserving, and
educating. Six AARPCV members volunteered along side two other volunteer groups to assist in mulching trees throughout the
Virginia Highland neighborhood. AARPCV's Volunteer Committee would like to thank Susan Pierce, NieghborWoods Coordinator
at Trees Atlanta for partnering on this wonderful community service opportunity. Thank you also to all the hardworking AARPCV
members that volunteered their time and energy to improving Atlanta's green space.

Continuing

fellowship among the membership, to highlight various community needs within Atlanta, and to expose the Atlanta community
to Peace Corps.
